I have fished in your area around the 4th of July for the past 18 years. One of the best afternoons of my fishing life was on Goose Creek( I think that's the name). As I recall, we got on thru an Orvis shop in Sheridan. Another great day was catching cutthroats on the Tongue.
Gave up all my graphite rods two years ago and now only fish bamboo. Would love to see your rods next year when I will be back your way. ( I live in Amarillo, Texas.)
Don't worry. I tell everybody to stay in Colorado for fly fishing.
Phillip
